Starting price: $20 per patch, $25-$50 per sashiko pattern up to 4 ", depending on complexity.

Repair Patching & Sashiko

Knee, crotch, pocket, etc. Visible mending & patching is available for all non-stretch denim. Visible mending is a slow stitch practice. Starting price: $30 per patch, $25-$50 per sashiko pattern up to 4", depending on complexity.

Starting at $25/hr, this service includes a combination of slow stitching and machine stitching, Sashiko and patching in a variety of colors, with non-stretch denim. Please get in touch for more accurate pricing, and to talk about what you would like done.

What customization options are available?

We offer Japanese style embroidery, known as Sashiko; patching, and repairs for your cherished garments using sustainable materials.

Can I request specific repairs?

Yes, we welcome specific repair requests and will work with you to restore your garments to their former glory.

What materials do you use?

We use upcycled materials, typically consisting of either medium to heavyweight canvas or denim to ensure our customization is eco-friendly, stylish, and durable.

How long does customization take?

Customization typically takes 1-3 weeks, depending on the complexity of the work and current demand.

Sashiko/Hand Stitch Repair

This repair will require a consultation to talk about what you want your hand stitched slow repair to look like. This repair starts at $20/hr. If you would like this type of repair on stretch denim or heavy weight denim (anything 18oz and up), this repair starts at $25/hr.

I can do this type of repair on other non denim garments as well. Price may vary depending on size/ fabric/ and type of hand stitch repair you are wanting to do.

Sashiko (刺し子) is a versatile Japanese stitching and embroidery technique primarily used to mend, reinforce, and embellish garments. In the past, the women of rural farming communities practiced this simple running stitch using white thread on indigo-dyed fabrics like cotton and hemp. Over time, sashiko has evolved from a frugal necessity to a decorative stitching style.
